LINK EXCHANGE: If you own a website and would like to increase your Google Page Rank and accordingly increase your search engine placement and your daily internet traffic, I am interested in a link exchange with other websites. That is, I will place a permanent one-way link on my site to your site, and you will do the same for me. |

Recently, I created a new webpage specifically for my outbound links to other people’s sites. It is accessible from my Site's Home Page and my Site Map webpage. My 'Links to Helpful Info' webpage also includes a spot for your business or personal logo accommodating a maximum of 192 pixels width by 80 pixels high. Check it out here > http://www.marketingmarksman.com/links.htm I don’t want any money or favors for this, just a
permanent one-way link from your site pointing at my site setup
like this Marketing
Marksman (http://www.marketingmarksman.com). CONTACT INFO: Click this link for my contact information including phone number and email address.
Google’s strategy is that a website that has lots of other websites linking to it (i.e. External Links or Inbound Links) must be popular and important. Why else would so many other sites have hyperlinks pointing to it? Each external link a website has can be thought of as a vote in an internet election, and sites with the most votes will have the highest PR. This is called ‘Link Popularity’ and the Google ‘Page Rank’ (PR) can first and foremost be considered a ‘Popularity Rank’ (PR). To illustrate, www.coca-cola.com has 2,550 external links and a very impressive 8 PR, while www.7up.com has 142 external links and a 5 PR. At an extreme, www.wikipedia.org with a 9 PR has over 22,000 external links (link statistics collected on October 30, 2008 via Google's "link:" function). Your Page Rank is not solely based on your Link Popularity, but is also strongly influenced by the age of your domain and your daily traffic, but your number of External Links is the most important factor. That being stated, these are the results you can reasonably expect:
As you can see, the Page Rank scale is a logarithmic scale that works exactly like the Richter Scale used for earthquakes where 3 is twice as significant as 2, 4 is twice as significant as 3, 5 is twice as significant as 4 ... and so on to the maximum 10 PR. |
